Analytical and research activities for policy development

Taking into account the experience of ICMPD and SCMI Secretariat analytical unit, it is important to secure funding for demand-driven research and analytical activities which will further strengthen evidence-based approach to migration policy development. Therefore, the project envisaged 2 research activities per project implementation year. The research may include the following:

– Ad-hoc analytical requests of the SCMI acting as a stock taker and communicator with external partners;

– Analytical activities related to update of the Medium Migration Profile of Georgia, update and development of brief migration profiles;

– Support to research activities of civil society organisations and young researchers (i.e. PhD students), etc.: internships to research institutions and think-tank organisations.
