Diaspora Awards 2017

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in partnership with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and its EU-funded project “Enhancing Georgia’s Migration Management (ENIGMMA)” continues joint implementation of the Georgian High-Profile Diaspora Engagement Programme. The main aim of the Programme is to engage high-profile diaspora in the development processes of Georgia. The target audience consists of Georgians who have achieved professional success in destination countries and have supported to the popularisation of Georgia’s positive image abroad.

The final activity of the Programme takes place in Tbilisi, Georgia in June 2017 in a form of a prestigious event celebrating and recognising the achievements of Georgian diaspora abroad and in Georgia, as well as their contributions to the development in Georgia.

The nominations are welcome in the following categories:

  • Achievement in Science
  • Achievement in Promotion of Georgian Culture
  • Achievement in Sport
  • Achievement in Philanthropy
  • Achievement in People’s Diplomacy
  • Foreign Friend of Georgia

The nomination of candidates is possible from 21 April to 21 May, 2017.
