Expertise:
Violeta Wagner has an international law background and more than 10 years of practical experience in working for the Lithuanian state administration on migration issues. Although her primary qualification is in international human rights, migration and asylum law, she has gained much experience in a wide range of migration-related fields throughout her professional career. Since 2011, Violeta Wagner has been involved in the management of different migration-related projects in Georgia.

Expertise:
Zurab Korganashvili’s main field of expertise is anti-trafficking. He has managed anti-trafficking projects for several years for international organisations such as CRS, IOM and ICMPD. Moreover, he has conducted anti-trafficking training programmes; supported governments of the South Caucasus countries in developing national action plans against trafficking, in establishing national referral mechanisms and in enhancing the management of trafficking-related data; and assisted in drafting manuals and handbooks. In addition to anti-trafficking, he has experience working in the fields of migration and development, border management, international protection and asylum as well as legal migration.

Expertise:
Tamar Kikvidze has extensive experience in the migration area and is very familiar with the migration situation in Georgia on both legislative and institutional levels. She has been managing migration-related projects for several years for various international organisations, including UNHCR and IOM. Tamar supported the Georgian government in law-making activities for the harmonisation of Georgian legislation with international standards as well as in the development of the EU-Georgia action plan. She participated in negotiations on various bilateral readmission agreements, drafted guidelines and assessments. She has conducted training programmes on citizenship and statelessness for state agencies and higher education institutions. Tamar has a long history of cooperation with ICMPD, having been a member of expert groups within the framework of the Budapest Process and Prague Process.

At ICMPD, Xenia has gained expertise on the following topics: the Georgian diaspora, general migration issues in both Moldova and Georgia, and the nexus between government and academia. Xenia previously worked as an intern at UNHCR and as Assistant Director of the movie “FC Chechnya” (2011), which is about Chechen asylum seekers in Austria. In addition, Xenia has worked and studied in the USA, Australia, Russia, Uruguay and Ukraine.
